A STAIR Success

In 1989 Ashley Williams (shown here with her long-time tutor and friend, Sue Balmer) was a second grade STAIR student at the St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian site. After her experience as a child in the STAIR program, Ashley came back as a tutor for STAIR in 1999 and 2000. She gave back by helping other 2nd graders learn to read.

Ashley’s success does not stop there. She now attends Dillard University and is majoring in Physical Therapy. She will be graduating in May 2007.
