STAIR in West Virginia

The STAIR program operates as a community outreach to the local public schools in Greenbrier County.  Currently, Old Stone Presbyterian Church serves second graders from Lewisburg Elementary and Clifton Presbyterian Church serves students from Frankford Elementary.  The last tutoring session and celebration for the STAIR Tutoring Program was March 29th.  Families and STAIR leaders gathered to recognize all those who participate in the STAIR program and to celebrate the progress the students made during this year.   One mother, in particular, is so thrilled that her son’s grades have improved dramatically during the year!   Old Stone has tutored 29 second-grade students in the last 6 years, improving reading skills and self-confidence.
