Sponsor a STAIR Student

Start the Adventure in ReadingSTAIR addresses the distressing and ongoing issue in New Orleans that a large portion of elementary students either “Can’t Read” or have “Poor Reading Skills”.   STAIR provides public elementary school students an opportunity to significantly improve their reading skills by participating in yearlong one-on- one tutoring.  The hallmark of our program is one tutor for one child at no cost to the student, their families or school.

Many individuals, organizations, and businesses in the community support our program by providing student sponsorships to help cover the cost of the services STAIR provides. Our goal is to secure a sponsorship for each of our STAIR students.

Be creative with your gift giving. Sponsor a Student as an office project with fellow employees, to honor an individual, as your organization's community outreach project, or as a memorial gift . . . but please Sponsor a Student! Some companies will match donations to non-profits made by their employees. Be sure to ask your manager if your company has such a program.

- $450 - I want to help Sponsor a Student for a half year/one semester.
